9 inches of Rain

On Friday we had a very rainy day, almost 9 inches of rain!
Our puppies still went outside to potty, but they were not terribly happy about it.
It was much more fun to come in and play.
 Esme hates getting wet.
Esme is one of our retired girls, she acts as Aunt/Nanny to the puppies.
I put down blankets and towels for the puppies to play in.
And Play Tug of war with.
Our pups love raised pet beds.  Here the puppies are chillen with Nova and Daddy.
 Daddy Rampage playing with puppies.
 Esme and Puppy
My Nova Beans playing Aunt/Nanny to puppies.  She let this little guy crawl all over her.
It took about an hour for everyone to dry off and be ready for a nap.
Even muddy they make me laugh.
If you are interested in our puppies we still have 2 boys and 1 girl avalible.
please send me an email at
I am off to edit the pictures I took this evening, the grass was still rather wet at 6 pm.

Morning Play time at Honey Ridge

Morning play time at Honey Ridge.
First we all go outside to go potty and make sure the yard it still in good shape.
Then we play in the living room and have breakfast.
In this photo Momma Dori and Daddy Rampage were kind enough to stop for a quick picture.
After breakfast it is play time!
The puppies have started teething and it is important to make sure they have safe chew toys.
Then we have games of Tug of War.

We have one puppy that likes to put all the toys in a pile.
And one puppy that likes to hide all the Good Toys behind the wood stove.

I have not named the puppies in these pictures, mostly because it is hard to tell them apart when they are running and playing in the living room.
But Little Milo picked out this sock monkey toy and would not share with anyone.
A quick game of Keep away.

And another game of Tug of War.

I thought I would take a quick minute to talk about teething.
As puppies teeth they can be a bit cranky, because it can hurt.  Chewing helps, and chewing on cold items can numb the gums making the process even easier.
There are lots of puppy toys on the market that you can toss in the freezer to help the process and help your puppy during this time.  Sometimes it is all about finding what the puppy likes to chew on.
Puppies can also chew on things because they are bored.  having 2 or 3 toys out at a time and rotating them every few days keeps puppies stimulated.
We also like to play hide the kibble games.  I will get some pictures of the games we play this weekend and post them for you.
We do still have 4 puppies avalible if you are interested in one of our little puppies check out their photo album at

Open House Weekend has arrived!

Dori's Minions are excited to be going home.
Dave is hoping to find his forever family very soon.

Spyder's Royal Crew are 6 weeks old and very excited to have their open house this weekend.
We still have 4 little boys avalible and 1 little girl looking for homes.

Winnie's Frozen Fans are 5 weeks old, and are looking forward to visitors this weekend.
We currently have 2 little girls and 1 little boy available from Winnie's litter.

I am really sorry to cheat like this and not post pictues of all of the puppies in separate posts.  On Wednesday I had an altercation with one of our goats, and she won. I ended up feeling very silly at the ER. As the Doctor asked me all sorts of questions that made me giggle. Touching fingers to my nose.  I am fine just a minor concussion, but I have a headache that still makes me cringe and laugh at the same time.
Outsmarted by a silly goat.
Life is full of surprises.

We are looking forward to a very fun weekend as Dori's puppies start to go home and new families come to visit Spyder and Winnie's puppies.

Breakfast time!

We are having an open house for the puppies to play and visit August 15 &16

Every Morning the puppies go outside to potty and play.  All the adults go out as well but we keep them apart so that the puppies can run off a little energy and socialize.
When they come in the house together they have breakfast.
This is Momma Dori, feeding both her puppies and Spyder's Puppies.  It is very funny to see 13 puppies trying to nurse at one time.  After a minute they will go in search of Spyder.

The puppies are still to young to know that they need a nap.
Winnie's puppies play for about 15 minutes, and then I put them in their playpen for a nap and cuddle with mommy.
Spyder's puppies are up to a 30 minutes, before nap time.
And Dori's puppies are at the stage where they will head to the playpen or a raised pet bed and nap when they get tuckered out.  Dori's puppies will play for up to 45 minutes before they need a long nap.

Today we are going to have a spa day and photo shoot, before our trip to the vet.
I will update later today with pictures of the puppies groomed.
We do still have puppies looking for their forever families as well.
Please send me an email if you have any questions about our little puppies or would like to come and visit with them.

Thank you for your interest in our little Bichons

Spyder's Royal Crew is 4 weeks old!

We have had a very busy spa weekend.  All of out puppies had a full spa treatment and photo shoot, we also had lots of playtime outside.
Princess enjoys spending time exploring and checking out all the new things around her.

Duchess loves to cuddle.

Countess is the smallest of Spyder's Little girls.

All three royal girls hanging out in a homemade raised pet bed.
All of our Bichons love this bed, and the other raised pet beds that we have.
 Knight is just too cute!
I love that his nose has not filled in all the way just yet, it will,
but I am going to enjoy the pink spots while I can.
Prince is another adorable little guy, he loves to cuddle as well.

Duke is the smallest puppy of the litter.
I think he will be a very small adult Bichon.
Count has again won the award for photo hound of the litter.
He is just too cute!
He also likes to play hide and seek.
Yesterday, I had brought all the puppies in but couldn't find Count.  I called, and looked everywhere.  I started picking up the toys and blankets, and found Count fast asleep under a blanket.
We had a nice cuddle after I stopped laughing.

 Spyder's Royal Boys.
Just as we were finishing up our photo shoot we spied this in the sky and I thought it might be a good time to mention,
Bichon puppies should never be left alone outside.
Aside from eagles and hawks, they can also be in danger from coyotes, fox and other creatures that pray on small mammals.
We were lucky, it was a turkey vulture.
We also have playpens with covers to help keep the puppies safe when outdoors and we are cleaning up their indoor playpens.

Play time indoors after our photo shoot!
All of the boys in Spyder's litter are still searching for their forever families and we have one little girl available.  Spyder's Royal crew will be having there open house the weekend of August 14th, just a Dori's puppies start to go home.
