cuteness.

A few pictures of the pups playing around with Fawkes and Rose:

The pups had another bath yesterday, just before we had some company come over. They are getting well used to the water and the blow dryer. We had our friends hug and cuddle the freshly-cleaned pups.
Today we snpped a couple pics of the puppies during excercise time. They had great fun playing with Rose and Fawkes, and inspecting the water bowl. They are having quite the fun time!

About the puppy care kit

So, just a quick note about the puppy care kit that comes with the little buggers.

When the puppies are sold, we have a little kit that we throw together to go with them to their forever homes. Here's a little description about that.

As shown above, they will come with:

  • their UABR and APRI papers and pedigree
  • a Home Again microchip and the paperwork that goes with it
  • their favorite toy
  • a Sample of the food they've been eating, and a 5-dollar coupon off Pro Plan brand puppy food.
  • A nice rawhide chewy
  • a big book on basic puppy training and tips from Purina.
  • If your puppy is older than ten weeks, he's had a solid grounding in housetraining, which is really great.
  • And a through veterinary examination and all of their shots up to date.

We're also looking into the Home Again service. This service is supposed to ensure that if your puppy gets lost, you get him back as fast as possible. That would be a year-long subscription type of thing.

Updated! This post is accurate as of 7/20/08 as to what comes with your puppy!

Fourth week pictures!

Yes. More Pictures.

So today was Bath Day for the puppies. They got mighty clean.

They also got new pictures taken! Which means they are now up on NextDayPets(.com).

So Anyway, final names ha
ve been decided, and their microchips are in. We now have Seven puppies who are quickly developing unique personalities. It is quite adorable, I must say.

This Is Albus Dumbledore. He's a very curious critter. He wasn't a fan of those glasses, though.

And here we have Archimedes. Archimedes is a bit more quiet than Albus, but still quite an energetic puppy.

Of course then there's Bilbo Baggins, the little guy. But just because he's little doesn't mean he's any less of a handful. Bilbo is getting to be a cute little bugger. His ears, by the way, are developing a beige tint to them.

This is Eowyn, the only girl in the litter. She is quite the cute little critter.

Here we have Gaston.
He's quiet when he wants to be, but he can also be a roaring ball of fury when he's worked up.

There's Rincewind, the fastest puppy and one of my personal favorites. Isn't he cute just there with the little bow in his mouth? I'll eventually get to making him a little red hat that says 'Wizzard'. So Cute!

And of course we have Victor Krum! Victor is always the first to stir up trouble, and the first to whine when mom isn't around to comfort his bruises.

Plus, I snapped some pics of the older dogs while I had the camera out.

Here's a new picture of Minnie, (mom) with her scarf and a puppy.
This is Fawkes, one of our other girls. Fawkes is the youngest, aside from the pups. (In my opinion, she's the cutest as well.)

Also, Rose just went into the vet. He did an ultrasound and confirmed that she is pregnant with at least three pups. She's been a bit nervy, so we expected it, but we'll be watching her.

Anyway, that's the puppies this week!

puppy pictures!

Alright. Now for pictures.

Yes, I have Finally got pictures all nicely set up. Yes, it's taken a long time.

There's puppy pictures in here, but first, I'll introduce you to the Parents.

This is an old picture of Minnie and me.
She's so sweet!

This is Saul (daddy dog) in his winter haircut. Shaggy and warm. He's a real sweetheart. He also absolutely adores puppies, which is a real helper when they get messy and someone needs to keep them busy.

Here's a picture of Saul during the summer, with his summer cut. it makes him looks more elegant, I think.

This is Calypso, from Minnie's last batch of pups.
It was taken when she was a little less than eight weeks old. This picture gives you a feel for what the pups will looks like when they get a bit older.

And here is a short collection of pictures of the puppies as they are now.
It was an interesting time getting pictures of them all at this age. I can't tell them apart yet, but they'll soon grow into that.
We've started them on 'puppy gruel' today. (which is a mix of powdered milk and baby rice cereal) They got messy. It was nice that Saul was so eager to clean up after them.
Amazingly enough, this batch of pups developed without any beige markings. Those might develop later, but I doubt it.
As you can see, The pups have already got most of the black coloration around their eyes and nose. The black on their pads will show shortly, and they'll be all colored out.

So there you have it.
Stay tuned.
