Growing like strong summer weeds.

Opal's Little ones are growing bigger every day. Our littlest puppy weighs in at 9 ounces and the largest puppy is a whopping 17 ounces.

We are talking about nicknames and hope to have them picked out in the next few days. We are leaning towards Star Trek characters at the moment, but I guess time will tell.

I think Bones is a really cute puppy name.

I can just hear this little guy, "I'm a puppy not a geologist." LOL

Very soon the puppies will be climbing, barking and chasing. I am very excited!

And Spirit's Puppies refuse to be out done as well. There are a lot of cuddles to be shared.

We still have little boys and girls available to go home starting July 23rd!

Double Trouble. Opal and Spirit both had puppies June 1st 2022!

June 1st was a very full day at our house. Opal was showing signs that she was going to have puppies at about 6 am. With the first puppy arriving mid morning.

Opal is the proud mommy of 6 healthy little pups.

Spirit decided she had to join the act mid afternoon. And her first little prince arrived just after 8 pm.

Spirit is the proud Mommy of 5 healthy little pups!

Pictures of Spirit and a few of the pups

I am happy to share that we still have puppies available this morning. They will be ready to go home starting July 23rd!  I just know I am going to have 2 months full of puppy kisses. :-)

If you are interested in one of our little pups, please send us an email at

honeyridgepuppies@gmail.com

We have had a few challenges this spring and are still trying to put all the pieces back together, puppy kisses always help. But I might not be as quick to answer emails as I would like.

We hope you have a great summer, hug your pup for us.

Opal's Little Cowpokes are a week old!

It is hard to believe they are a week old already.

Boy what a week of firsts the puppies had. :-) They had their dew claws removed, were micro-chipped so we can tell them apart, and they started trying to escape mom's box so they all moved into the playpen a few days early.
This little cowboy knows how to relax. With his baby brother helping as a footstool. :-)

We were thinking of what type of photo and nickname theme we would use for the litter and haven't done a western theme before so...
Nicknames are so we can tell them apart once they have collars at about 3 weeks old. When families start picking out their puppies we will use their forever names.

What type of treasures can be found?

All 4 little cowboys are still looking for their forever homes and will be ready to go home the weekend of September 17th, 2021
Tex, is the biggest prince and weighed 16 ounces. The 3 smaller boys all weighed in at about 12 ounces and will be Doc Holiday, Davy Crockett and Buffalo Bill.
If you are interested in one of our little cowboys, please send me an email to
honeyridgepuppies@gmail.com

I hope you have a wonderful week,
Loretta and Pups

Our little cowgirls have found their forever homes.

The little girls weighed 13.9 and 14.3 ounces on Sunday. The pictures of the girls are on a pink bandana.
The girls will be Anne Oakley and Calamity Jane. I am thinking Anne will be the bigger of the two even though Jane is just a few ounces smaller.

Just Starting to open their Eyes!

Nova's Little ones are not quite 2 weeks old and are starting to peek at the great big world around them.
I think we may have homes for all the puppies, I should know for sure later today.

 Our Princesses are adorable.
And The princes are very charming.
Daddy has been very vigilant, checking one the pups often.
Daddy Rampage loves to play and cuddle with pups, but he know they are still too little to play, so he pops over to their box to check on them and let them know is is watching out for them.
I like to say it takes a village to raise puppies. Here we have the whole family checking out the puppies while they took a nap after our photo session.
Opal's little ones have also been checking up on the little pups, they are learning the word careful and No, as they love to nap with the pups but still have to be monitored so they don't try to play with the little ones.
I have been trying to get a picture of them napping together as it is very cute to see the littles napping on top of our older Snowbirds, but as soon as they see me with a camera the older pups jump up and and scatter. :-)
Little Fred was the first older puppy to think he needed to nap with his younger siblings, and he has been encouraging the other pups to do so as well.
The older pups are going to get a bath and pictures this afternoon, but my son needs some help with his car so my helpers are all in the garage.

I hope that you have a wonderful day,
Loretta and Pups

The Snow Birds after their first bath day!

Opal's little snow pups had their first spa day today.
Lots of new experiences that totally tired them out.
We do have 1 little prince still looking for a home, and he will be ready to Join his new family March 6th.

Olaf is the bigger of the 2 little guys. He is a cutie as well.
 Frosty is a little character.
Crystal is the smallest of our girls.
She also has the strongest opinions so far.
Elsa is the largest of the little girls.
Wynter is our middle girl, and she won the most photogenic this week.
After all the firsts the puppies needed some extra love, and Auntie Spirit was just the friend to offer support.

Nova @ 7 weeks

I was taking puppy pictures and of course everyone wanted to have their picture taken.
Nova is 7 weeks along, and on our pups favorite bed. But you can kind of see her thickening middle and her nose is a little faded. When Bichons are using all of their health reserves it is common for their normally dark black noses to fade just a bit.
Nova is getting prenatal vitamins and puppy food, so we know she is healthy and happy but I thought it was a nice tidbit to share.
And Daddy Rampage is also enjoying a quick respite before he heads back out to chase some squirrels.
I am currently editing the puppy pictures, but I also have been having a squirrel distraction disorder today.
It is so nice and sunny outside.
It might be a few more hours before I finish.
