Winnie's Little ones are almost 6 weeks old!

My how fast the time goes by. It seems just yesterday the puppies were born.
Now they are really starting to shine and show us who they want to be.
We still have 3 little ones looking for their forever families. They are Boo, Dragon and Strawberry.

This is our Boo. Boo is a quiet prince, but he is full of personality.
Boo loves the camera, he always seems to strike a pose.
Dragon is a world explorer.
Dragon is very much like his name, he loves to explore new things and is always the first to try something new. This litter of puppies is very quiet but if someone is talking it tends to be Dragon first. Mostly when he wants attention ;-)

Strawberry seems to be the delicate flower of the group. She is more reserved and takes a bit more time to try new things.

Raz has picked out his new family and is happy to tell everyone he was first! Raz is super happy to let everyone know his name is Jack Frost!

Plum is also super happy to announce her new name is Molly!
Molly woke up as soon as her new family left and watched as they drove away. It was super cute because all of her siblings stayed asleep. I assured Molly that her family would be back soon to take her home.
Peaches also picked out her forever family this weekend. They are thinking about naming her Sophie or Lily. Peaches reminds me of Opal who also became a Lilly.

I took lots of pictures of the puppies at the park, but I was able to weed them down quite a bit. I think one of our little ones might have washed the lens for me and so most of the pictures look a little hazy.

I also thought I should let every one know we always have 2 or 3 adults at the park to supervise the puppies playing and make sure that they are always kept safe. It is very important to make sure that they do not eat anything they find on the ground, like cigarette butts. It is also important to make sure they are safe and do not fall from any equipment.
This week the puppies are going to be playing with leashes and taking trips outside with momma to use the lawn.
Please feel free to send me an email with any questions that you might have. Our puppies email address is

Open House!!

Our little ones are getting ready for our open house weekend March 23-25!

Our little boys just couldn't sit still when they heard guests are coming!
The princesses just had to strike a pose when they heard the news.
I looked to the weather forecast. A perfect 72 for Saturday!

This is Boo. He loves to have his picture taken.

This is princess Plum. It took her a while to warm up to the camera this week.

Princess Peaches has beige ears right now.
I guess she is living up to her name.
Our Raz is always super cute.

Princess Strawberry is ready for summer fun.
Dragon is the prince of cuddles.
We took pictures on Thursday this week because I knew we were going to have a super busy weekend. We are so thankful for the super fabulous weather! The puppies have been going outside a couple of times everyday. Soon they will be following momma outside instead of being carried out :-)
Lots More Pictures!

If you are interested in our little puppies please send me an email at
lorettaspins@gmail.com

As of today we still have 2 little boys and 1 little girl available.
I did take a few short videos, hopefully I will figure out how to edit and post them this week.

Winnie's Puppies are growing so fast!

Winnie's little ones are growing up so fast.
Our little princes are adorable.
This is Raz. Raz was very laid back today.

Dragon was telling me all about his day.
Boo is just too cute!

And our 3 little princesses!

Our ever so sweet Peaches!

Our little charmer Plum.

And Strawberry is ever so cute.

And we mustn't forget Momma Winnie. Momma is very excited that the puppies will start munching on some solid foods this week. Winnie is even more excited because the puppies will mostly just make a mess and she will get to clean up the puppies AND the left overs.
The puppies tried on their new collars today, but they were still a little bit big, so after the photo shoot we put them away until next week.
Pictures from this week!!!

We still have 1 princess and 2 princes looking for their forever homes. If you are interested send me an email at
lorettaspins@gmail.com

I am also happy to share that King Louie had a fantastic vet check up and is looking forward to going to his new home in a few weeks.

Winnie's Little ones are 10 days old!

Our Princesses!

Our Little Plum.

This is Peaches!

Princess Strawberry.

And our little Princes!
Boys are a little bit harder to name after fruits.

This is Dragon, named after Dragon Fruit.

This is Raz, named after Black Raspberries.

And we must not forget Boo, named after Blueberries!

Peaches inspired this litters nick names. Peaches reminded me of my grandmother and her love of berries. My grandmother will have to forgive me for not naming a puppy watermelon, her favorite fruit, but I just couldn't do it.
Please check out the Puppies Photo Album!
This week the puppies will open their eyes and they will start hearing things too. I think Raz and Peaches will be the first to open their eyes, we shall see.

It looks like we will still have a few puppies looking for homes, I will update again soon.
Until then,
All of our puppies are always welcome to come back to us. It doesn't matter how old they are, Honey Ridge puppies are always members of our family.
If an emergency happens and the puppy's forever families can not keep their puppy we would rather our puppies come home then go to a shelter, or worse.
When a puppy does return home, we keep them here for at least a month. This lets us evaluate the puppies needs and personality. We also have the puppy checked over by our vet, to make sure he or she is healthy.
I always think of our puppies as puppies, even when they are older. I think it might be a mom thing, and unlike my young adult children, the puppies never tell me they are all grown up.
You are probably wondering why I am going on about this.
Please let me reintroduce King Louie.

Louie was born to Fawkes and Saul on March 22, 2011.
Louie's Mom was very sad that she had to give him up when she had to move. So Louie is looking for a new home. He is a very curious guy and wants to check out everything. He loves to play with everybody, even cats! This is Goofy trying to get Louie's attention.
Please check out Louie's Photo Album.
If you are interested in adopting King Louie please send me an email at
honeyridgepuppies@gmail.com
and we can talk about Louie's wants and needs.

Until next time.

The Puppies Have Arrived

I am sorry I have been so busy at work I have not posted any updates in what seems like forever.
I now have lots of happy reasons to post!!!

Winnie had her puppies Febuary 15th!

Here is Winnie after her mini spa day today.

Winnie is a great mom!

These are our 3 princes!

Here are our 3 princesses!

I took LOTS of pictures today and on their birthday. Winnie asked me to delete some of the pictures because she was not at her best, but I thought it was a good idea to share just what mom looks like after delivering her puppies.
I am currently contacting families on our waiting list to see if they are still interested in bringing one of our little ones home. I will update next week as to how many puppies we still have available.
In the mean time I am looking for a theme to name the puppies after. If you have any suggestions please send me a note.

I should also let every one know that Rose and Esme have retired from breeding. We decided to have Rose spayed after she had 2 c-sections. We also decided to have Esme spayed because she had such a difficult birth and we didn't want to risk any complications with her health.

I also wanted to give everyone a little history about Winnie.
Winnie is Fawkes litter mate. Winnie used to live in Minnesota with my cousin. But this summer she had a little mishap with a lab named Molly, that ended up with an emergency trip to the vet. So Winnie decided that she would stay in Iowa with her favorite sister Fawkes.
We are all very happy that she has decided to stay and be a part of our family.

I will be posting an update about King Louie later this week, I just want to get a few good pictures of him first.
Tata for now,
Loretta

Puppy Update

Happy September!
I thought I would share some of the photos that I have received, so that other puppy families can see how their siblings are growing.
I thought today I would share pictures of Esme and Rose's little ones.

This is the super cute, super model Misty, about a week after she went home.
Misty says you should check her out on Dogbook!

This is Hero about a week after he went home.
His new Mom and Dad tell me he is doing great and that he loves his home made raised pet bed.

This is Lily from Rose's 2010 litter of puppies.

FLASHBACK!
This is Lily as a little puppy checking out a duckling.

Lily loves the great state of MN and is quite the little social butterfly.
Her mommy Amanda tells me,
" She is the greatest dog in the world! Lily has more personality than any dog I've ever met. She's so funny and always has a smile on her face. She loves everyone and every dog we meet. Lots of friends to play with. She attends doggy day care once a week and loves running through the swimming pool and then the mud! She is still quite unique with an apricot stripe down her back and on her ears. I'm so happy I found you and found my little Bichon. She's the perfect addition to my life!"

Momma Rose and Momma Esme are doing well. Rose is looking forward to retirement, she will be spayed the end of this month. We decided to spay Rose because she needed 2 c-sections.

I have more pictures to share in the next week of Fawkes litter of puppies.
So please keep sending pictures and checking back.
Have a happy Labor Day!
Loretta
